DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD STUFFS AND ECONOMICAL ASSISTANCE TO OUR SPONSORED FAMILIES

REGIONAL DIRECTOR, MS. ROSEMARY MBOGO & MS. MARTHA GITAU, THE EAST AFRICAN COORDINATOR VISIT BARAKA ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2017

Baraka Community Care Center, Nanyuki was blessed with the presence of our new Regional Director for the African countries, Ms. Rosemary Mbogo and the East-African Co-ordinator, Ms. Martha Gitau on 11th September 2017 . They were here for almost three days for an official visit to our site; to visit the schools and families; to see the activities of this site. They reached here in the mid-noon. As the community gathering was going on, they were officially welcomed by Fr. Jose Martin CMI, the Site-Director. They had an official interaction with the people. Ms. Martha joined the group and discussed a lot about the micro-financing and gave necessary clarifications. They visited Carmel Garden where the Carmelite priests (CMI) stay, and Chavara Renewal Center at Naromoru. They walked around the campus and enjoyed the Baraka activities there; especially, the Green House, the shamba, the bore-hole, the cattle and the fish ponds. COMMUNITY GATHERING & MICRO-FINANCING

Under the leadership of Baraka Social workers, the parents of the sponsored children often gather together, collect certain amount of money, keep the proper account of it, put the money as savings in their particular name and even they take loan out of it for their businesses and respective needs. Baraka teaches the parents how to save money for the future use.
