BARAKA PRISON FELLOWSHIP

Baraka Prison Fellowship aims at sharing the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ  to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities. Baraka Staff members under the leadership of Fr. Martin, visits the Nanyuki GK prison every month, celebrates Holy Mass with them and share a day with the prisoners. We  the Baraka staff members are planning to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas) and the gift-exchanging with the Nanyuki prisoners on December 20, 2017.

Baraka Community Care Center recently lost a beneficiary as a result of old- age. Baraka Community Care Center Staff visited the family of the bereaved to offer psycho- social support. Baraka CCC Psychologist conducted a brief debriefing session to the immediate family member who was the daughter and caretaker as well

COMMUNITY GATHERING & MICRO-FINANCING

Under the leadership of Baraka Social workers, the parents of the sponsored children often gather together, collect certain amount of money, keep the proper account of it, put the money as savings in their particular name and even they take loan out of it for their businesses and respective needs. Baraka teaches the parents how to save money for the future use.
