BARAKA COMMUNITY VISITS NANYUKI PRISON

 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." (Mathew 25:36). 
The Baraka community care center  visited the inmates at Nanyuki Prison where they celebrated a Holy mass presided over  by Father Martin and Father Joey. A water tank was  donated and other person effect items.

Baraka Staff visited the BBI families (families of old babas & mamas) and done the medical checkup for them. Rev. Sr. Gilda from Consolata Hospital, Kieni was available for it.

Under the leadership of Baraka Social workers, the parents of the sponsored children often gather together, collect certain amount of money, keep the proper account of it, put the money as savings in their particular name and even they take loan out of it for their businesses and respective needs. Baraka teaches the parents how to save money for the future use.

BARAKA E-ROOT PROGRAMME

Baraka eRoots Program is an initiative of Chalice Canada to empower the families and communities of our sponsored children in Kenya. Working with small Community Development Groups (CDGs), the eRoots Programme provides resources, education, training and formation so they can grow their own food and develop sustainable agri-businesses. eRoots provides the structure, oversight and accountability required to ensure farmers move toward independence.
